The L-STEAM project aims to empower schools in implementing effective and inclusive STEAM education through a competence-based framework. By developing structured methodologies, practical tools, and school-based activities, the project supports teachers and students in engaging meaningfully with STEAM subjects.
Key Objectives:
- Develop the L-STEAM Framework to guide schools in designing and applying STEAM activities.
- Create support mechanisms for implementation through teacher training and school engagement.
- Design practical scenarios of use to pilot the approach in real educational settings.
- Raise awareness and disseminate results to encourage wider adoption.
Activities: The project will be piloted in Malta, Greece, Portugal, and Cyprus, engaging at least 8 schools, 24 teachers, and 160 students over two phases. Teachers will receive targeted training, and students will participate in localized STEAM activities using the STEAM IDEAS’ Square approach.
Expected Impact:
- A comprehensive L-STEAM Competence-Based Framework for schools.
- A Community Support Mechanism to assist with implementation.
- Ready-to-use Scenarios of Use and activity recommendations.
- Creation of a sustainable L-STEAM Network of schools and educators.
- A Guide of Good Practice to support replication and long-term use.
