The EXPLORE project brings space exploration into the classroom through immersive, curriculum-aligned STEAM experiences. By simulating real-world analog missions to environments like the Moon or Mars, the project aims to engage students in hands-on learning that fosters curiosity, collaboration, and digital competence.
Key Objectives:
- Engage students in realistic space exploration scenarios aligned with STEAM curricula.
- Equip educators with training in student-centred, inclusive, and digitally integrated teaching methodologies.
- Promote environmental awareness and problem-solving through space-themed learning.
Main Activities:
- Development of an EXPLORE mission kit to support classroom-based space simulations.
- Training and support for educators to adapt the kit to local curricula.
- A hands-on student simulation mission at a planetary analog site, enabling international collaboration with peers and space professionals.
Expected Impact:
- Enhanced student motivation and understanding of space science and sustainability.
- Strengthened digital and collaborative skills among students.
- Improved teacher capacity to deliver engaging, digitally supported STEAM education using innovative, inclusive practices.
